The most popular shared mobility and shuttle service provider in Baltic countries “Bolt” is cooperating with “Socialinis taksi” (transportation company with social purposes) and introduces the innovation in Vilnius city: more inclusive services for the passengers with individual needs and for those who need assistance during the trip.
The new category in the mobile app was presented specially for the ones needing help while entering or getting off the vehicle as well as for the passengers with special needs. The drivers were theoretically and practically instructed by the other mobility provider oriented mainly for the passengers with special needs – “Socialinis taksi”. This service will be oriented for elderly people or people with limited mobility, for the people with visual impairment, with hearing impairment or other visually seen or unseen disabilities.
Moreover, the provider is adding another category of transportation – wheelchair friendly vehicles. This option opens a way to provide mobility services not only for those who have foldable wheelchairs but for those who could be transported without leaving the wheelchair.
