Against all pandemic odds, the TInnGO project keeps on evolving in Romania.
Recently, the Romanian hub of TInnGO, through the TInnGIDLab activities, organized the first virtual workshop. 5 women and 4 men addressed a challenging and rather new topic in Romania and Eastern Europe: promoting equal opportunities between men and women on the Romanian labor market.
Structured in two main sessions – a theoretical part, sustained by the Romanian Hub TInnGO Team and an interactive one, involving all the participants. The workshop brought to the same virtual table stakeholders of the TInnGO project from Alba Iulia, but also in Sebes, Galda or Santimbru, active parts of the Metropolitan Transport Area of Alba Iulia (AIDA). The Alba County Police Department was also represented, in order to present relevant data about safety on public transport and smart mobility. The main conclusions highlighted an existing equality between men and women at the management level of the local public transport service provider and other public institutions which are functioning respecting the Law of Local Public Administration.
The outlined ideas in the interactive part of this workshop will be included and further detailed in the Romanian Hub Gender and Diversity Action Plan which will be elaborated soon.
