On 28 November 2019, Miriam Pirra, leader of TInnGO Italian Hub, joined the DIAMOND project meeting that was held in Milan hosted by Systematica Srl. DIAMOND is TInnGO’s sister project aiming at analysing and converting data into knowledge with notions of impartiality to move towards a more inclusive and efficient transportation system from a gendered perspective. It focuses on four main case studies: railways and public multimodal transport, automated vehicles, vehicle sharing, CSR and employment.
The consortium celebrated one year meeting in Milan reviewing its work and organised a special session inviting external subjects to discuss on gender topics and experiences in transport and mobility. TInnGO project shared the floor with Wher, an app providing city maps made by women for women, Signify (Philips Lighting), AMAT (Agenzia Mobilità Ambiente e Territorio), partner of the H2020 project Sharing Cities, and the Welfare Department of ATM (Azienda Trasporti Milanesi). This session has been an occasion for sharing experiences and for gaining ideas for the future activities of the two sister projects with the aim of joining forces for closing the gender gap in Europe’s transport sector.
