Spanish Hub rallies main actors in the field of logistics and transport to discuss equal access for women

TInnGO workshop gender and transport

The Spanish Hub of the TInnGO project, which is based in Valencia, specifically at the Packaging, Transport and Logistics Technological Centre (ITENE), will rally on 24th September the main players in the field of transport and logistics in a workshop about the adaptation of transport services, safety and employability from a gender perspective. The event will include the attendance of the Vice-President of the Valencian Government, Mónica Oltra.

The objective of this workshop, in which the TInnGO project will be presented, is to gather information, experiences and different points of view from professionals involved in the logistics and transport sector interested in promoting equality of women in this area.

The attendees to this event will be able to participate in a debate in which ideas and opinions will be exchanged. The main thematic will be the existing needs and challenges that transport has to deal with in order to give a response to people´s diverse needs.

To this regard, the participants will work on the identification of current and future trends for promoting gender equality in transport, with special emphasis on accessibility, safety and comfort, as well as women’s contributions to the transport workplace.

In this way, throughout the debate the gender differences, the needs of an inclusive services adapted to the population, safety and accessibility in transport and the working environment in transport will be addressed.

The Spanish TInnGO Hub is a thematic platform about the situation of women with regard to safety and security mobility, but it also enhances gender employment in transport sector. The Spanish hub promotes the provision of adapted mobility services for women by considering their mobility patterns and their employment and working conditions.
