The Spanish hub has support from the public administration, as well as from private companies and social organizations.

It has carried out different workshops and quantitative and qualitative studies to analyze the safety and employability of women in the transport sector as users and workers, especially from vulnerable groups.

The Spanish hub began its public activities with an event headed by the Valencian Government Vice-President.

Context

The Spanish TInnGO Hub is a thematic coordination center about the situation of women regarding transport services. Its purpose is to accomplish with the twofold aim of increasing women´s safety and security as daily users of both public and private transport means, as well as to enhance their working opportunities in the transport sector, taking into account also the freight transport. The Hub improves the quality of communication and the interaction of transport companies and authorities with other stakeholders through the promotion of gendered analyses around smart mobility.

The Spanish Hub promotes the provision of safety and security adapted mobility services for women by analyzing their mobility patterns and needs and specific features of adapted vehicles. The hub also explores the employment and working conditions of women in the transport sector.

WHO WE ARE

The Spanish Hub is managed by ITENE, a market-oriented research center specialized in packaging, transport, and logistics.
